The year 2025 marks the 110th anniversary of the birth of Bonyu Angelov, a prominent philologist, paleoslavist, and literary historian. Scholars and researchers from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Sofia University „St. Kliment Ohridski“ organized large-scale events in his honor and initiated the digitization of a portion of his scientific and cultural heritage, which was executed by the University Library\u00a0https:\/\/digital.libsu.uni-sofia.bg\/bg\/v\/43397<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University Library also participated in the celebrations with a joint exhibition along with the Cyirillo-Methodian Research Center and the Scientific Archive of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The display cases in the Central University Library feature his books, monographs, articles, and publications about the personality and scientific achievements of the famous scholar selected from the University Library’s collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition focuses on research dedicated to the Saints Cyril and Methodius, St. Kliment Ohridski, and other early Cyrillic and Renaissance authors. Academic publications and textbooks for secondary schools, co-authored and edited by Prof. B. Angelov, are also presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition will be displayed from November the 5th<\/sup> to December the 5th<\/sup>, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
