Due to the great interest in the webinar “Reputable vs. predatory journals – How to Distinguish Between Them,” the University Library is organizing a new session in November with two dates. The webinar aims to familiarize Sofia University lecturers and PhD students with predatory publishing and techniques for identifying dubious journals and publishers, fake metrics, predatory conferences, and other unethical practices. The webinar will also focus on content factories and citation manipulation. Participants will also see examples of good practices in scientific publishing.
The webinar will last 60 minutes and will not be recorded, but will be held twice:
- November the 14th, 2025, at 11:00 AM
- November the 20th, 2025, at 2:00 PM
