At the second gathering of the club “Friends of the Zograph Room”, prof. Kiril Pavlikianov presented the Slavic manuscript collections of the Mount Athos` monastery of Protate and of the monasteries of Vatoped, Karakal and Dohiar.
The attending scientists and lecturers from Sofia University and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences engaged in a discussion on the argumented theses and commented on the dating and style of the manuscripts. The gathering ended with a virtual tour of the monasteries of Mount Athos.
Prof. Kiril Pavlikyanov kindly presented the University Library with photographs of manuscripts from his research trips to the Holy Mountain, and inventories of the provided materials, which will further enrich the collection of the Zograph Room.
