Opening of an exhibition and an art installation under the joint title “Literature is Not a Museum”

An exposition with texts and photos of some of the most influential contemporary Bulgarian writers was presented on June 3, 2025 in the Central Foyer of the University of Sofia on the initiative of thh Faculty of Slavic Studies. The photographs of Georgi Gospodinov, Teodora Dimova, Amelia Licheva, Zdravka Evtimova, Deyan Enev, Mikhail Veshim, Mirela Ivanova, Vladimir Zarev, Kristin Dimitrova, Nadezhda Radulova, Rene Karabash and Aksinia Mihailova, photographed in the Reading Room “Studies” of the University Library, are accompanied by short excerpts from their works and their thoughts on the theme: “Literature is not a museum because …”.

Participants of the event – authors, lecturers, students, teachers and pupils – made their suggestions for updating the literature curriculum through a QR code, placed on the installation – a two-meter open book, located at the entrance of the Central University Library.
