Traditionally, in the month of May, we render an account of the expansion of the Zograph Digital Scientific and Research Library with new digital copies of manuscripts. In the beginning of 2023, our colleagues from the municipal library Iskra in the city of Kazanlak provided Sofia University library with 16 digitized Slavic and foreign languages copies of manuscripts from their library holdings.
The Zograph Digital Scientific and Research Library is established in 2014 through mutual agreement between Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and the Zorgraph Holy Monastery Saint Great Martyr George. Situated in the main building of Sofia University – in the University Library of Philology – the Zograph Digital Scientific and Research Library is available to all researchers. Presently 730 digitized texts are accessible, within this collection of the digital manuscripts; their originals are located in the collections of 15 monasteries, museums and libraries in Bulgaria.
