In 2015 by decision of the Academic Council of Sofia University in the structure of the University Library was included the library of the Department for Language Teaching (DEO), established in 1963 to the Institute for Foreign Students.
Today the library collection consists of 23,000 library items: books, educational and reference literature, a rich collection of CDs and DVDs. The specialized literature in the fields of “Learning Bulgarian as a foreign language” and “Foreign Language Education” prevails. The DEO library has 20 reading places, including 1 computerized workstation.
