Issuing remote access certificates (outside of the computer network of Sofia University)
JSTOR is a multidisciplinary digital library which includes publications in the following fields: regional studies, arts, business and economics, history, humanities, law, medicine and health, natural sciences, applied sciences and mathematics, social sciences and interdisciplinary fields of knowledge. The collections include articles from peer-reviewed scientific journals and book chapters some of them are open access. University lecturers, PhD students and students of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” are provided with remote access to the JSTOR platform. For that purpose, individual registration is required initially carried out on the Sofia University computer network with an institutional email.
The EBSCOhost platform is presented with the following databases: Academic Search Complete, Ultimate, eBook Academic Collection, Health Source – Consumer Edition, AHFS Consumer Medication Information, GreenFILE, European Views of the Americas: 1493 to 1750, Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts, Teacher Reference Center, OpenDissertations.
Academic Search Ultimate is a multidisciplinary full-text database, which includes over 14,000 scientific peer-reviewed periodicals, as well as reports, conference proceedings, reviews, and videos. The eBook Academic Collection contains over 210,000 e-book titles in all scientific fields.
The usage is through the interface: https://search.ebscohost.com/, where you must mark the databases you want to search. There is a built-in dictionary with keywords and good filtering options. EBSCO provides remote access in two ways: with an individual registration and with a username, and all additional resources can be used with the same account. Registration via username and password can be obtained from your institutional email to: lis@libsu.uni-sofia.bg
The Central and Eastern European Online Library is a repository which provides full-text access to scientific publications in the field of humanities and social sciences from and for Central and Eastern Europe. The collections include articles from serials, books, parts of e-books, conference proceedings, reviews, and “gray literature” (reports, cases, etc.) in over 50 languages.
Faculties, PhD students and students of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” can also use CEEOL remotely via institutional access. Username and password for SUSI are required. Instructions for remote access can be found HERE.

Due to unlawful downloading of content from the database CEEOL there is a risk to be stopped the access to the database, so we ask you to use it correctly and to preserve the signed license agreement. Annex 1, p. 2.3 not permits:
1. Systematically download content by robots or other automatic processes without explicit approval from CEEOL
2. Burden server(s) with activities, such as computer programs, that automatically download content, commonly known as web robots, etc.
3. Transmit the digital source code, whether plain ASCII or tagged, and disseminate content from CEEOL from a third person or organization.
* If there is finding out such not permitted actions the IP address will be blocked and there will be taken additional administrative measures.
Oxford Publishing is presented with the following databases: Oxford Scholarship Online, University Press Scholarship Online and Oxford Handbooks Online. The databases can be accessed from https://academic.oup.com/
The Oxford Scholarship Online database is a multidisciplinary database of academic publications published by Oxford University Press.
The University Press Scholarship Online database is a multidisciplinary database of academic publications of over 25 university presses of leading universities incl. Stanford, Princeton, Yale, etc.
The Oxford Handbooks Online database is a multidisciplinary database containing the most prestigious and used guides and handbooks.
Faculty, Ph.D. students and students of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” can use Oxford and remotely via institutional access. The username and password for SUSI must be used.
HeinOnline is a leading online platform in the field of law. HeinOnline includes more than 2,600 full-text journals, classical legal treatises, constitutions, UN documents, reports, etc.
Reaxys is an Elsevier’s database in the field of chemistry which indexes more than 16,000 journals and patents in the field of organic, inorganic and organometallic chemistry from the 1771 to the present. Reaxys’ uniqueness lies in the possibility of structural search and provides data on chemical structures, properties, reactions and synthesis of compounds. Reaxys includes the Beilstein, Gmelin, PubMed, eMolecules, LabNetwork and Sigma-Aldrich bases.
APS Physics is a database platform consisting of Physical Review Journals published by the American Physical Society (APS). Most of them are peer-reviewed journals which provide access to full-text articles. The platform includes the following journals: Physical Review Letters, Physical Review X (general and applied physics, interdisciplinary physics), Reviews of Modern Physics, Physical Review A (atomic, molecular and optical physics; quantum information), Physical Review B (condensed matter and physics of materials), Physical Review C (experimental and nuclear physics), Physical Review D (particle physics, field theory, gravity and cosmology), Physical Review E (statistical, nonlinear, biological physics and soft matter physics: fluids, polymers, liquid crystals and granular materials), Physical Review Research, Physical Review Accelerators and Beams, Physical Review Applied, Physical Review Fluids, Physical Review Materials, Physical Review, Physics Education Research, Physics.
The AIP Publishing of the American Institute of Physics (AIP) provides full-text access to scientific journals in the field of physics and its interdisciplinary fields, many of which are peer-reviewed journals.
IOP Publishing is one of the world’s leading publishers in physics. It publishes over 70 full text open-access and hybrid journals, distributed across 15 subject collections: astronomy and physics; atomic and molecular physics; biomedical engineering; condensed matter; education; engineering; environment and energy; instrumentation and measurement; materials; mathematics and computation; medical physics and biophysics; optics and photonics; particle and nuclear physics; plasma; quantum physics. Faculties, PhD students and students of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” can also access the platform remotely. Therefor, individual registration is required, which is initially performed on the territory of Sofia University and is carried out using an institutional email. Statista provides statistical data, reports, forecasts, surveys, infographics and research studies, market insights and business plans that can be downloaded in all formats. The resource can only be used for non-commercial purposes. Access is available via devices connected to the University’s Internet network. Faculties, PhD students and students of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” can also use the Statista platform remotely.
