A visit to a National Institution – University Library “St. Kliment Ohridski” in the city of Bitola, Republic of North Macedonia

On 19th November the Director of the University Library visited a National Institution – University Library “St. Kliment Ohridski” in the city of Bitola.

Accompanied by the Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Bitola, Assoc. Prof. Bilyana Yavrukova had a meeting with the director of the library Mr. Mende Donevski and with the long-time librarian Ilce Stoyanovski, with whom they exchanged experiences in the organization and management of library collections. They also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of interlibrary loan and services for users.

The national institution – University Library “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Bitola is a modern cultural institution with a collection of about 600 000 books and periodicals. Established in 1945, the library serves as both a university library and a city library, aiming to become a virtual library and to meet the research and educational needs of its users.
