On April 16, 2024 the Laboratory for Conservation and Restoration of Literary Monuments of the University Library, created within the project of the Center of Excellence “Heritage BG”, was officially presented.
Hundreds of guests, including the Vice President Mrs. Iliyana Yotova, members of the National and the European Parliament, lecturers of the Sofia University, scientists of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and others, visited the laboratory, which is equipped with the most modern research infrastructure for Bulgaria.
Dr. Malina Belcheva and Monika Pramatarova presented the results of the preliminary research on the restoration of the book “Μηναίον του Ιουνίου…” (“The Menaion for the month of June…”), printed in 1774.
