The library to the Faculty of Philosophy was founded in 1903 as a seminar library, serving the needs of teachers and students of the Philosophy Institute. The library was established and enriched thanks to the dedication and hard work of Prof. Angel Bankov, Prof. Kiril Delev Darkovski and other scientists. Most of its collections were formed through donations – from the Embassy of France, the Volkswagen Foundation, American Psychological Association, Curriculum Resource Center and others.
Since 2007, the library is located in new premises with modern equipment, where its users have open access to the library collections. They consist of 50,400 volumes of books, serials, reference and bibliographical editions, e-resources. The library has 25 reading places, including 11 computerized workstations.
