The exhibition “Sofia University Library through the object-glass of two photographers”

plakat_130_g_2.jpgThe exhibition includes historical and contemporary photographs. The black and white photos are taken by Bojidar Karastoyanov (1903-1956), who is one of the most famous photographers in Bulgaria. He had memorized the process of construction and the opening of the University's buildings. The color photographs are made by Associated Professor Vladislav Gospodinov – a lecturer in the Faculty of  Education.

Assoc. Prof. Anna Angelova opened the exhibition with an emotional story about the deserved place in a rating of the most beautiful libraries in the world in which The University library took place. The director of the library presented the idea of the exhibition and talked the sight of the library through photographers’ eyes remoted in time.
Assoc. Prof. Vladislav Gospodinov outlined he made a parallel "then and today" with his photos taken during the last ten years at the University library. By his words, the philosophy behind the exhibition is directed from outside to inside - from the façade to the reading rooms. 
The exhibition in the Central Hall, Rectorate, can be seen until  October 3th 2018.
