110 years from the birth of Prof. Ivan Dujchev


plakat-duichev.jpgOn 19th  April  2017 was opened the exhibition "110 years from the birth of Prof. Ivan Dujchev" at the Sofia University Library “St. Kliment Ohridski” The exhibition was prepared jointly with the Center for Slavonic-Byzantine Studies "Prof. Ivan Dujchev" and was held within the the XIth Annual Conference of the specialty “Archives and Document Studies”.

At the opening of the exhibition the Deputy Director of the University Library  Biliana Yavrukova, PhD, summed up the contribution of the world-famous scientist to the Bulgarian science and presented the exposition.

The Director of the Center for Slavonic-Byzantine Studies "Prof. Ivan Dujchev" Prof. Vasya Velinova told about the love and diligence, with which the collaborators of the center selected the pictures and documents exhibited in the exhibition. Through them Professor Dujchev is presented not only as a scientist, but also as a rich personality that can always surprises us.

The visitors can see photos and personal papers from his study in Italy and his first steps in science - meaningful and interesting personal letters, the exlibris of Prof. Dujchev, who graced his personal library.

Prof. Dr. Andriana Neikova, a lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, reminded that the day of the specialty "Archives and Document Studies", whose patron is Prof. Ivan Dujchev, was celebrated on 18th  April. She thanked the organizers of the exhibition, which has become an accent in the cultural program of the XIth Annual Conference of the specialty.
